Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated DevOps Intern with a keen interest in cloud technologies—particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS)—and a drive to explore modern DevOps tools and practices. This internship offers hands-on experience with real-world cloud environments and DevOps pipelines, under the guidance of seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities

    Cloud Infrastructure Support
  • Assist in deploying, maintaining, and monitoring cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
  • Support automation tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
    • Containerization & Orchestration
  • Help containerize applications using Docker.
  • Work with Kubernetes to deploy and manage containerized workloads on cloud platforms.
    • Code Collaboration & CI/CD
  • Participate in version control workflows using Git and GitHub.
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
    • DevOps Best Practices
  • Apply principles of automation, monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Document infrastructure workflows, deployment steps, and issue resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system reliability and delivery speed.
    • Learning & Support
  • Attend training sessions and receive mentorship from senior DevOps engineers.
  • Stay updated with emerging DevOps and cloud trends.

Skills & Requirements

    Essential Qualifications:
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with: Git and GitHub , Terraform , Docker , Kubernetes , Scripting in Bash, Python, or similar.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications

  • Valid certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, CKA).
  • Exposure to monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Knowledge of basic cloud/CI-CD security practices.
  • GitHub or portfolio demonstrating DevOps-related projects.
