Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with over 10 years of proven expertise in both DevOps and DevSecOps environments, to join our team on a contract basis in a hybrid work model at our Pune location. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership in engineering teams, long-term strategic thinking, and operational excellence in managing CI/CD pipelines, security controls, and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and leadership in engineering teams focused on DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
  • Manage and optimise GitHub Enterprise for source control, pipeline creation, and integrations with multiple toolsets to streamline workflows.
  • Utilise Jira extensively for project tracking, workflow customisation, and domain-specific task management.

  • Review and document security and operational controls across development and deployment processes.
  • Create detailed implementation playbooks and define DevSecOps strategies tailored to organisational needs.
  • Execute proofs of concept to assess requirements for workload management, version control, and CI/CD implementation.
  • Customise workflow management tools to suit the needs of different development domains.
  • Document guidelines, development principles, and operational standards for teams.
  • Introduce standardised, modular CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and secure deployment processes.
  • Digitalise DevSecOps Controls Framework using tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Develop strategies to enable weekly production releases, balancing speed, stability, and security.
  • Introduce and maintain compliance dashboards (e.g., PowerBI) to monitor adherence to standards, controls, and best practices.
  • Ensure alignment with organisational, operational, and regulatory compliance mandates.Monitor cross-functional team activities, reporting on control adoption and process effectiveness.

Essentials Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps and DevSecOps engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership or oversight roles.
  • Expert-level proficiency in GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD pipeline development, and automation tool integrations.
  • Strong expertise in Jira for workflow management and project governance.
  • Deep understanding of security controls, DevSecOps frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to create process documentation, playbooks, and technical strategies for enterprise environments.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional engineering teams in complex delivery environments.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, PowerBI, and compliance dashboard automation is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving capacity with a focus on operational excellence and scalability.
